About Chef

Chef Khor Eng Yew oversees all Chinese cuisine at InterContinental Bangkok including all Chinese Banquets at our Conference Center as well as the exceptional cuisine at Summer Palace.

A native of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Chef Khor began his culinary career in 1995. Since then he has cooked in the kitchens of top luxury hotels and fine dining restaurants at five-star properties in the Philippines and Dubai. Among the awards to Chef Khor’s credit are top-place finishes at the “World Culinary Contest” in Taipei, and the “Chef Association of Malaysia’s Young Chef Challenge”. In 2012 Chef Khor proudly defeated the reigning Iron Chef in a televised cook-off.
